Tony DunseithHead CoachBack for his second stint with the Missouri State Ice Bears, Tony Dunseith will take over the reigns of the Division 2 team starting with the 2010-2011 hockey season. Originally from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, Coach Dunseith was an assistant coach with the Ice Bears for the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons under Benjamin Alexander (119-76-9 from 2001-2007). Just the fourth coach in Missouri State Hockey history, Coach Dunseith follows Mike Schroeder’s (44-33-2, 2008-2009 and 2009-2010) two seasons behind the bench. A USA Hockey Master Level Coach, Dunseith has been active coaching several teams including an AA Midget team that was part of the USA Hockey National Tournament held in Springfield. Tony assisted in starting the Springfield High School hockey program that plays in a Kansas City league. Jeff CrenshawAssistant Coach and Director of ScoutingJeff joined the Ice Bears in January 2010 as the assistant coach in charge of MSU goaltenders and Director of Scouting. From 2008 till the spring of 2010, Jeff worked as the goaltending consultant for the St. Louis Bandits of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). During this time, the Bandits won their third consecutive Robertson Cup National Championship in 2009. That off-season, Jeff was hired by the Chesterfield Hockey Association as the goaltending coach for the Chesterfield Falcons Central States Midget U-16 team. Jeff brings 18 years of goaltending experience to the Ice Bears. Since 2008, Jeff has been the lead instructor for the Racine Goalie Academy. RGA is an elite goalie school instructing top prospects all across North America. While in Springfield, he is also studying Sports Management at MSU. |

Mike AckleyAssistant CoachMike is in his first full season with the Ice Bears. He grew up in the hockey hotbed of Wisconsin growing up playing for the Madison Capitols AAA until his last year of Midget Majors. His senior year of high school, he played Junior A hockey for the Springfield Spirit of the NAHL. After juniors, Mike committed to Lawrence University in Wisconsin and played NCAA DIII for all four years. In 2010, Mike moved back to Springfield and works for Johnny Mac's Sporting Goods. The Wisconsin native brings a very extensive knowledge of the defensive aspect of hockey and will help the Ice Bears be successful on both sides of the ice. |

Tyler PolizziStudent Assistant CoachTyler is in his first season on the Ice Bears coaching staff. The St. Louis, Missouri native is a Junior majoring in Administrative Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Missouri State. Polizzi suffered a concussion in the 2010-2011 season, but hopes to return to the roster soon.. Tyler brings a lot of knowledge to the Bears bench as an assistant coach specializing in special teams and the forward positions. Prior to attending Missouri State, Tyler played two seasons for the St. Louis Jr. Blues of the CSHL (now NA3HL) and helped them reach the national tournament. Polizzi attended Christian Brothers College High School (CBC) and played four years of varsity hockey for the Cadets winning three state championships. |

Joe CombsStrength & Conditioning CoachJoe played defense for the Ice Bears from 2007 to 2009. He had 8 goals and 13 assists in 2007-2008 while posting 11 goals and 14 assists in 2008-2009. Joe is the Missouri State Hockey Strength and Conditioning Coach in charge of assisting players with team, individual workout plans, and nutrition. Joe is also the Hockey Development Specialist and Head Coach for the Community Olympic Development Program. |
